The Band Perry have taken the US by storm. To mark their UK live debut, the country/pop trio performed an intimate music industry showcase at a packed out Cuckoo Club in London's West End on 17th January.
The sister and brothers band which consists of Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry, have sold over 4 million copies of debut single 'If I Die Young', with the video receiving over 48 million YouTube hits.
In 1 year they've also sold over a million albums, been racking up award nominations left right and centre including 5 CMA and 2 Grammy Award nominations, and even collaborated with Justin Bieber.
With their already impressive track record taken into account, expectations on them as performed a 6-track set at the Cuckoo Club was high and we're glad to report that they didn't disappoint!
Opening with toe tapper 'Independence', from the get go it was clear that lead singer, Kimberly, had us all captivated.
It was she who acted as the glue of the band, chatting warmly and sharing anecdotes inbetween songs. When singing, Kimberly's voice was strong, emotive and mind blowing.
Next up on the set-list was fesity 'Hip To My Heart', followed by rock edged 'Miss You Being Gone' and banjo led ballad, 'All Your Life'.
A highlight which caught us off guard was a mash-up of 'You Lie' with the Eminem and Rihanna hit 'Love The Way You Lie'. The 2 songs complimented each other pefectly.
Closing the night was 'If I Die Young', a simplistic, yet stirring ballad made even more so when performed live.
Overall delightful, enchanting, and a perfect introduction to the ear-pleasing stylings of The Band Perry.
They release single 'If I Die Young' alongside their self-titled debut album in the UK on 19th March.
